Effective Delegation

THIS CLASS IS AVAILABLE
For Managers

Many leaders say they would like to delegate work to their employees.  They often stop short, however, because they believe that they don’t have the time to explain what to do or because they are unsure if the employee can effectively complete the task.

This interactive program will help leaders better understand the purpose of delegation and prepare them to apply the steps to delegating effectively.  It provides leaders with tools needed to match delegated tasks to the right employee, enhance employee development through the delegation process, advance the business and free themselves up to do other critical or strategic work.

Learning Objectives:  At the completion of this program participants will be able to:

  • Understand their own attitude toward delegation
  • Evaluate what, when and how to delegate work
  • Assess employees’ willingness and ability to receive a delegated work
  • Learn and use positive delegation strategies
  • Establish communication expectations and boundaries once work is delegated
  • Anticipate problems associated with delegation
  • Set up a real-time delegation opportunities
