360-degree feedback (also known as multi-source or multi rater feedback assessment) is a way for individuals to understand their personal strengths and opportunities, using the constructive feedback of others who work with them the most. It’s a development tool for individual leaders and employees. The combined insights from the collective feedback process are used to inform an individual’s development plan. A 360-degree feedback is different than an appraisal in that it is a tool for development vs one for review and reward.
360-degree feedback is always paired with one-on-one review by a CRE team member certified to deliver feedback in the 360-feedback instrument. Emphasis is placed on providing a safe environment for feedback recipients to hear their feedback and the opportunity to set an action plan for how to move forward.
